MACINTOSH RULES!
![]() | This is a picture of my Mac, a Power Macintosh G4, with dual 500MHz processors, gigabit ethernet, a 40Gb harddrive (my brother added a second 40Gb, and I added a third 500Gb harddrive), 256Mb of RAM (upgraded to 512Mb), upgraded ATI Radeon 8500 AGP video card with 64Mb of VRAM, Firewire 400, and an upgraded USB 2.0 card. It is commonly known as the Power Macintosh G4 Graphite, Apple's marketing name is the Power Mac Gigabit Ethernet, and the Apple code name was Mystic. It was released on July 19, 2000, and I bought my G4 on February 6, 2001. For more info in the G4, check out this wikipedia page. |
![]() | And this is my brother's iMac G5, and I use this primarily for video editing and DVD burning. |
Mac users are the coolest people on the face of this earth. They refuse to be involved with a computer that anybody can own and use - a pc, and instead they choose to use and love a higher quality, more user friendly, faster, and cooler looking computer -
Macintosh. Mac users band together, and you never hear them say "My machine sucks!".
I'm forced to use PCs at work, and they are fine, as long as they have Linux installed on them. This is because if any Microsoft products are installed, the machine will crash like fifty times a day, and Windows 2000 is just getting too big and slow.
Finally, real software engineers use
SUN machines. They are powerful, they never crash, and they are highly customizable. The Ultra 10 I used at RIT are more powerful than any PCs out there.
